If you haven't met Gary Marbut, you may be interested to

I have known Gary Marbut for many years and was very pleased to
hear he had finally thrown his hat in the ring; Gary has authored
and supported more legislation than probably any other living
Montanan and it is high time he ran for office. Gary is
intelligent, honorable, and hardworking; three qualities seldom
seen in one politician these days. His classes have taught
multitudes of men and women to keep themselves and their families
safe. Gary has lived and worked in House District 94 for
over half a century (unlike his opponent Kimberly Dudick who has
NEVER lived in HD 94), and it is my pleasure to endorse him. --
Alex Omura, M.D.

I am a friend of Gary's on a level that thousand's of Montanans
are throughout the state. Nothing special. Yet, during the
horrific fire season of 2000, when our home near Victor was
threatened by one of many of the forest fires raging in the
Bitterroot Valley, Gary invited my family to his place until the
danger passed. It wasn't needed, but I will always be grateful for
the kindness of his offer of assistance. This is the kind of
friendship and leadership we are looking for in Montana's
legislature. -- Tom Farrenkopf
------------
We are in the process of building a low maintenance, energy
efficient home. I knew Gary had built one, and asked if he
would share his experience. He invited us up, and spent
quite a bit of his afternoon showing us the environmentally
friendly, low energy home he had built himself. He has a
deep understanding of energy conservation, and will bring that
knowledge and expertise to the Montana Legislature. -- Lee Bruner
------------
Gary is a proven leader. He has been instrumental in the
successful passage of 64 bills through the Montana Legislature.
Gary has lived in the HD94 district since 1954. He has a sincere
concern to empower women and has worked to empower them through
self defense training for 25 years. Gary is a long-time advocate
for individual liberty and empowerment of individuals. In addition
with his past experience and history in energy conservation he has
the ideal background to represent us in the Montana
Legislature. That is why I, without hesitation, wholly
recommend and support Gary Marbut to act as our representative for
House District 94. -- Bruno Friia
------------
Gary Marbut would be an excellent choice for the Montana
Legislature representing House District 94. Gary has
demonstrated his ability to lead and has proven ability to advance
and pass legislation for Montana and Montanans. He has lived
in the district for over 50 years. He is noted for empowering
women and also has a beautiful dog. We urge you to vote for
Gary this November. -- Weymouth and Terry Symmes - Weymouth is a

I first met Gary Marbut in 2003 and have come to deeply
respect Gary for his dedication to personal liberty as preserved
in the U.S. and Montana constitutions. An honest and honorable man
with a heart of gold, Gary's work for Montana shall long outlive
him. -- Franklin Shook

Gary Marbut has done more for the freedoms of Montanans than
anyone I know. -- Lonnie S. Underhill

Gary is a leader, not a career politician. He has a genuine
passion for the protection of women and a proven record of trust.
-- Matt Beard
--------------
I have known Gary Marbut since 1980. We worked together
professionally very early in our relationship and have been
friends ever since. Gary is probably the most creative
thinker who I’ve known. His creativity is only surpassed by
his sincerity and energy. I strongly believe that Gary is an
excellent choice for any office he pursues. We need people
in public office who both care about their constituents and are
effective. -- Steven P. Garman
------------
I have known and worked closely with Gary Marbut for many years
pursuing complex public interest litigation on a number of
Constitutional and Privacy issues. He is a careful and
strategic thinker, and harbors greater passion for civil liberties
and individual freedom than anyone I have ever met. His
leadership on these issues has drawn richly deserved national
attention. And Gary's years of experience in working with
the Legislature, successfully pushing 64 bills into law, will make
him an effective representative for House District 94 from his
first day in office. Montana is at a cross-roads, and right
now, Gary is just the kind of person we need in our Legislature.
-- Quentin Rhoades
-----------
We are in the age of corporate sponsored candidates, once elected,
suddenly change what they stand for. Gary Marbut's record provides
us a rare opportunity to know for certain exactly what we will
get. Gary's dedication to freedom and liberty is apparent in his
authorship and influence of countless legislative works. His
record says it all. -- George A. Wuenschel
----------
Gary Marbut has been a tireless advocate for individual liberty,
and a vigorous opponent of the encroaching foolishness of the
nanny-state. He has volunteered his own time to speak before the
legislature on issues of importance to all Montana residents. He
has gotten over 60 bills passed by bi-partisan majorities in the
legislature, and signed into law by both Democrat and Republican
Governors, even when these same politicians were at each others
throats during those sessions. He knows the process and has shown
that he can work with politicians in both parties for the
increasingly uncommon, common sense. -- Matt Egloff
-------------
Having known of Gary for quite a long time, I have been well aware
of his efforts to protect our rights. Not just our rights to bear
arms but all rights. Since I have finally met him, I’ve come to
the realization that he means what he says and is a man to be
counted upon. He is true to his words and fights harder than any
man I know in the protection of our God given Freedoms. -- Denise

Gary Marbut is fine citizen. He actively supports his
community, and fellow citizens through dedicated private and
public efforts. He is an advocate of protecting our US and
State Constitutional rights. My wife and I enthusiastically
support his candidacy for the HD 94 seat. -- Don & Jen

As one of Missoula birth who is currently in Texas, I wish I had a
chance to elect people like Gary down here. He's honest,
forthright, cares about people and animals in a way that goes far
beyond just mouthing the words, and has been very effective in his
work with the legislature of Montana to get useful bills passed.
-- Thomas Harris
-------------
I'm no fan of politicians and Gary Marbut on occasion has been a
little far out to the right for my taste but I think he could help
balance some of the left wing nonsense that has been fomented by
some Missoula legislators. I feel that our future must be shaped
by people who are looking out for our future economic
stability. He lives in the area he wants to represent, he
has lived there most of his life, and his opponent has never lived
in the district. He has been an effective lobby for gun rights and
has been at the legislature long enough to learn how to get bills
passed. I urge you to vote for him. -- Warren "Dite" Little,
resident of Missoula for 82 years

My personal and professional meetings Mr. Gary Marbut occurred
providing testimony to the Montana State Legislature, and with
numerous conversations in-between.
Mr. Marbut had devised and successfully presented many important
and liberty-minded legislative bills before the state legislature.
He had earned my respect early on, for his knowledge of
legislative process, speaking skills, and his commitment to the
people of the State of Montana. I observed that Mr. Marbut was
competent and dedicated to those actions which preserve our
liberties and constitutional processes.
After speaking with Mr. Marbut on several occasions, meeting with
him, and seeing what legislative successes he has produced for all
Montanans, I sensed that Gary Marbut is a man of personal
integrity and maintains a strong sense of moral convictions that

representation. I am honored to have had the opportunity to
see this man in action, and am proud to consider him an able
representative and professional colleague. -- Dr. Arthur

I am glad to claim Gary as a long time friend. I first met him
when I was lobbying the Montana Legislature, probably in 1993 or
1995. He was a perfect stranger to me when somehow he learned I
needed help to draft a bill. He took his time to explain to me, a
stranger, how to draft a bill, and used his computer and printer
to draft the bill for me. This was proof to me that Gary is
willing to help others without asking what is in it for him. Over
the years I have known him he has demonstrated this quality many
times. -- Rep. Jerry O'Neil
---------------
I have known and worked with Gary Marbut for 7 years. I have

I've known Gary Marbut for a good many years. I have found he is a
man with principles who takes a practical approach to implementing
those principles. Gary helped put together a conference a
few years ago. I and other folks came in from all over the west.
One attendee had engine trouble. Gary recommended a
competent mechanic, and then helped get the ailing vehicle there.
Gary goes the extra mile. -- Charles Curley

I know Gary from taking his handgun class, from speaking with him
annually at the Western Montana Fair, and through the Montana
Shooting Sports Association. Gary is truly democracy in
action. His ability to grasp the political process and get
appropriate laws passed is impressive. He is a champion of
individual rights. I believe him to be honest and
politically competent, a rare combination, indeed. -- Barb Stem
-----------
Gary Marbut is one of the most honest, trustworthy, sincere and
hard-working persons I have had the honor of knowing. Above
all, Gary has integrity, which is seriously lacking among most
candidates and among most people for that matter. Whatever
party you align yourself with, Gary Marbut will not sell you
out! He will fight for ALL Montanans and do so without any
self-interest whatsoever. Gary is a true leader, a patriot
and an exceptional human being. GO GARY MARBUT! -- Joan

As a female in legal trouble, located hundreds of miles from Gary
Marbut, he immediately became available to try to help me out with
my legal mess . The fact that Gary spent personal time trying his
best to help me out with my situation gave me hope that good
people actually still exist and empowered me to continue my fight
for my rights. Gary is a devoted advocate of human rights so I
have no doubt he definitely would be able to help out the Montana
population in general if he were to be elected to legislature
position. I can never thank Gary enough for all his help! -- Mary
Jo Pleskac
-----------
Gary was a leader and a builder in 1968 when he worked for my
husband, Col H. V. Freitag in Wildflecken, Germany. Gary
built a ski area and gathered equipment throughout Europe that
gave all assignees and dependents a place to safely enjoy skiing
in our remote area. (There were 18 broken legs the year
before on German slopes.) This effort took coordination and
cooperation at all levels of command to accomplish the
project. Gary handled the task with diplomacy beyond his
years - and this can only have improved with time. -- Avis Freitag
----------

School (class of 1964). A native Montanan and an Army veteran,
Gary has always put the needs of Montana and Montanans first. He

lobbyist has been able to get 64 bills enacted. Gary
is a champion of woman's right in self defense, training some 2000
students. He is also an advocate for the humane treatment of
animals, an accomplished author and organic gardener. Gary
would serve the people of house district 94 extremely well as
their representative in the 2013 legislature. -- Gerald

When it comes to "green" Gary Marbut is the real
thing. He doesn't just talk about it. He has been "living
it" for the 28+ years I've known him. From organic gardening to a
self designed passive solar home, he has a practical knowledge of
what works and what doesn't that he can carry to the legislature.

My wife, daughter and I have only known Gary for a few years but
his reputation for generosity, honesty and integrity has been

personal time to assist and advise those that we have referred to
him for information on diverse subjects. District 94 could
find no better resident candidate. -- D. W. Glidewell, Delynda

What you get with Gary Marbut is...well, not what you
expected. He's one of those rare men who delivers more than
he promises. I suspect it has something to do with his
unique thought process -- at once exacting and humble -- another
rarity. He's an odd combination of liberty minded without a
knee that jerks or a mind that closes. He's the epitome of
Montana hippy in one sense -- hand-built geodesic-dome-builder,
guitar-player, organic gardener. He's the epitome of Montana
hardass in another sense -- championing grassroots-oriented
legislation in Helena. -- Cindy Dyson
